Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember you between page loads and visits, keep you logged in, and remember settings like your currency. On their own they do not identify you by name.

These make the site work. They cannot be switched off, because without them you could not log in or check out safely. • PHPSESSID — keeps you logged in and holds your cart. Lasts for the browser session. • csrf_token — protects the checkout and forms against cross site request forgery. Session. • gs_promo_dismissed — remembers that you closed the promotional banner. 7 days. • gs_currency — remembers your chosen display currency. 30 days. • Cookie consent choice — remembers what you decided here, so we do not ask again on every page.

These are off until you accept them in the cookie banner. They tell us which pages work and which do not. They are never used to advertise to you. • Google Analytics 4 (`_ga`, `_ga_*`), via our Google Tag Manager container. Measures visits, pages and where visitors came from. Data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. • StatCounter (`is_unique`, `sc_is_visitor_unique`). A second, simpler visitor counter we have used since before Analytics. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of these cookies automatically and you do not need to do anything else.

• Stripe sets cookies during payment to detect fraud and keep the payment session secure. These are essential to taking a payment safely and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. • Google sets the analytics cookies described above, only after you consent. • StatCounter likewise. • Microsoft Advertising sets a cookie that tells us whether an advert we paid for led to a purchase. It loads only if you allow marketing cookies, and it is the only advertising measurement on this site. On 27 September 2026 we removed the Meta pixel and the Reddit pixel from megaesim.com. There is no TikTok pixel and no other advertising network. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories runs before you choose, and if that ever changes we will update this page and ask again.

• Cookie Settings in the footer of any page reopens the banner so you can change your mind at any time. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. • Your browser can block or delete cookies entirely. Every major browser has this in its privacy settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop checkout from working. • Global Privacy Control is honoured automatically, as described above. Refusing analytics cookies costs you nothing. The site behaves identically and you still get the same prices.

If we add or remove a cookie we update this page and the date at the top. Where a new cookie needs your consent, we ask for it before setting it rather than assuming your earlier answer still applies.
